Mr. Hallgarth's Class Rules
My classroom rules are very simple and to the point. You need to remember the acronym RAM.
R - Respect (It is important to me that the students learn how to give and get respect from their peers!)
A - Accountability (Showing up on time and turning in your assignments are a couple of items I drill on!)
M - Manners (It is very important to me that every student understand how much further in life they will get by just saying a couple of words!)
My classroom rules are a part of my teaching philosophy and my personal philosophy. It is important to me to teach the students how all three of these aspects intertwine with one another.

Homework
Homework is typically not given in my class. Where homework does apply is when the students do not get their work done in class. All work MUST have their name on it to get credit for it. It is very important that your student keep up in my class because when they get to far behind, they will have to come in before school, after school, or for recesses.
Late / No Name Papers
Papers will be given a lower grade when turned in late. The highest grade possible for late papers will be a C- (70%). This will be active until the start of the second quarter. When the second quarter starts, late papers will be given a D- (60%) and will continue through out the rest of the year. This is a big part of my accountability rule.
No name papers will be put into a "no name" folder for the first quarter. After the first quarter is over, ALL "no name" papers will be thrown in the garbage. Again, this is very important for your student to be accountable.

Family Link
Family Link is a very important resource for not only the teachers but especially for the parents. Family Link gives you, the parent, the opportunity to see your child's current grades first hand. This is an opportunity for the parents to ask questions to the teacher about your child'd grades. Each student and parent will be given a username and password to access Family Link at the beginning of the school year. You can access Family Link through the school website!
